Almost ten years ago, when our father the Venerable Dagsay Rinpoche and our late mother returned from their first visit to Tibet they had decided to dedicate the rest of their lives to help restore the Chokri monastery where our father had been one of the leading lamas before he had left Tibet in 1959. The idea of a clinic for the local people was very much on our mother’s mind.

We started to think of ways how to raise the money that was needed to realize all these projects.
My husband being a Tibetan Naturopath and seeing that a lot of patients in the West are suffering from psychosomatic disorders had always urged Rinpoche to teach Westerners the ancient methods of Tibetan Meditation. So Rinpoche started to give courses in Tibetan Meditation and soon was requested by a German Book Publisher to write a book on the Practice of Tibetan Meditation. Thanks to all these activities Rinpoche and our later mother were able to finance the projects in Chokri

Tibetische Mantras
The book is called „Praxisbuch der Tibetischen Meditation“ and was published by Bauer Verlag in Freiburg. In this book Rinpoche explains a number of the ancient meditation techniques used by the great Tibetan Masters since thousands of years for higher mind training on their path to enlightenment. In order to allow people regardless of their origin and religion to make use of the book, Rinpoche has not included the buddhist teachings that normally go with the instructions.

Since Rinpoche wanted to include also some physical exercises to allow the practioners to relax after the long meditation sessions, I had the honour of including some newly created Lü-Gom exercises in the book. Myself being a passionate Tai-Chi instructor, I feel privileged to have been able to contribute to this valuable book. Rinpoche has drawn all the little pictures of the exercises in the book himself.

I was also allowed to recite the Mantras that are on the CD that is included in the cover of the book. Mantras have the unique power of bringing about instant mental peace and well being for the practioner. Therefore Rinpoche wished to include them in his book in order to provide the readers with all the necessary tools to find their inner peace and happiness.
